Two Levels, Two Ways to Play

Silverton Cubby House: Upper Play Kitchen with a Choice of Slide or Climbing Wall

The Silverton Cubby House is a genuinely versatile two-level play space, designed to keep kids active and engaged for years. Saloon-style doors and window openings lead into an upper cubby with a built-in play kitchen, with easy access via included stairs and a ladder. You choose how they come back down, either a 1.8m slide or a rock climbing wall, so the Silverton can match how your kids actually like to play, and note the two configurations have genuinely different footprints, not just a different climbing feature. Downstairs, the lower level converts into a sandpit, ball pit, or general play area, with built-in seating and hidden toy storage. Built from 100% Cedar, a timber genuinely well suited to outdoor use thanks to its natural resistance to water, decay and insects, it's designed for long-term, imaginative play that ages gracefully outdoors.

Cubby house with slide

Arrived super quickly
A pleasant company to deal with got back to me straight away with any questions I had to ask . Good quality my daughter loves it

love the item!

Love this play house. It arrived three weeks early. The instructions were easy to follow and we had it together in about four hours. The only issue would be the door hardware is not ideal. The parts didn't line up 100% so we had to trim the wood a very small bit, but everything is asy to fix. We also added a slide. We are very pleased with this cubby house set.

Hi Benneth, we appreciate your review on Scenic Heights Cubby House.
Thanks,
Aby

Meh...

A few broken and missing parts...the slide had no mounting hardware or even a mention in the manual/instructions. Easy enough to build, but it took a LOOONG time to wade through all the parts. When it was finally complete, my young bloke nearly feel out the first time he played in it as there is a seat right bellow the upper level window. I cant see how it would have met Australian standards. It'll take a few minor adjustments/modifications to get it right, the customer support seems pretty useless, then it will be ok (I hope!).

Cheap price, average product, mediocre support....you get what pay for.

Hi Blair! Thank you for your review on our Scenic Heights Cubby House with 1.8m Slide. We sincerely apologise for the disappointment our product has given you. I believe our team is already in contact with you to sort and resolve the issue.

Overall, great for the price.

Took a very long time for 2 adults to assemble (12+ hours). Clearly a mass produced American item. Floor doesn't meet Australian standards: instructions indicate to screw planks flush together, but need to leave gaps to allow to expansion in Australian heat, so had to cut one piece down to allow this. Some pieces weren't quite square. But, overall comparing to similar sized products out there this is VERY reasonably priced, very sturdy and most of all my son LOVES it.

Hi Nadia! Thank you for your review. We are glad to hear that your son loves the Backyard Discovery Scenic Heights Cubby House with 1.8m Slide.

Gorgeous quality product

Very happy with the purchase of this cubby house, our toddler loves it. The item came in 4 boxes with a 55 page manual to build (lots of individual pieces) but my husband found it very easy to follow. It took him the whole day to build (12 hours), with the help of a second adult the second half of the day.
Delivery took longer than anticipated and whilst the cubby house is gorgeous it’s a little smaller than I thought it would be. I think my child will be comfortable in it till he is around 5 years old.
The free picnic table that came with the house was great, lovely quality.

Hi Alex! Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are glad to hear that your child loves it.

Maybe I’ll review when it is delivered

Why are you asking for reviews when you know it hasn’t been delivered.

Still waiting for package.

Allied Express, has not replied to any of my emails in regards of posting.

Disappointed and upset

I'm so disappointed. There are things broken and missing. Will never buy anything to do with byd again.. my daughter will now not have a Christmas. So disappointed. Wish I never wasted my money.

Poor customer service

Waited over 6 weeks to receive our kids play house only to have all the box’s for the extras not delivered with it, very poor customer service I emailed several times with no reply’s and when I did get one it seamed like a computer generated response I ordered later October saying it would be delivered early to mid November and I got just before Christmas in mid December. No information or updates from The company when I emailed about the whereabouts of my items almost called my bank to have my money returned and put in a report for being scammed that’s how little this company communicated with me. Given false delivery and tracking Information their tracking app said delivered less than a week after ordered 6 weeks and no communication later it was delivered with less than 2 hours noticed for someone to be home to receive it.

Transport

It has been 14 days and the transport company you use has still delivered it yet and has been in our local depot for 5 days and still have no ETA so it might be a very sad Christmas for my grandchildren

Great product, lengthy set up

we ordered the scenic heights cubby. It was on back order and took maybe a month for delivery.

We asked some friends to help us set up. One was a tradie and came armed with tools. It took over 8 hours and 3 men to set up most of this item. We still have the interior to go. Was not expecting such a detailed set up. Is a beautiful cubby house but be prepared it is not a quick or easy set up

Hello Rebecca,

Oh yes, I agree. Setting up Scenic Heights Cubby House is not that easy but it's totally worth it, right? Thank you for sending us this review. I hope you're enjoying your cubby house now.

Many thanks,
Aby
