What do we get each day?

A rock, mineral or fossil to add to the collection. The mix varies across the calendar, so each day is a genuine surprise - that's half the fun.

Is it suitable for young children?

The specimens are small, so we recommend adult supervision for little ones. It's best suited to kids who are past the everything-in-the-mouth stage and love collecting.

How is it different from a chocolate advent calendar?

Nothing melts, nothing gets eaten before 7am, and everything lasts. Instead of a lolly a day, kids build a real specimen collection they can keep, sort and show off well beyond Christmas.

Can they keep the collection after Christmas?

Absolutely - that's the whole point. Every specimen is theirs to keep, and it makes a lovely starter set for a budding geologist to add to over time.

When should I order for Christmas?

Advent starts on 1 December, so order by late November to have it ready for the very first morning of the countdown.

Yes. We can set up a simple layby on most items—no interest, just easy instalments. Your order ships once the balance is paid. Pop a layby request through or message us and we’ll set it up.
