What age is this table suitable for?

Both the original table and the Surfside Picnic Table option are recommended for children from 18 months and up.

What's the difference between the two style options?

The original Sand & Water Table with Benches has built-in seating around a dual sand and water play area. The Surfside Sand & Water Picnic Table adds a fitted lid that turns it into a picnic table, plus an adjustable blue parasol for shade, and stands taller once the parasol is up. See the comparison table above for the full breakdown.

How much sand do I need?

For the original table, you'll need approximately 7.5kg of sand to fill the sand side half full, or around 15kg to fill it completely. Plum doesn't publish a sand quantity for the Surfside option, but its sand compartment measures 25cm x 30cm x 8cm. Sand is not included with either option.

Do the built-in benches seat more than one child?

Yes, the benches surround the table on both style options, giving multiple children a comfortable place to sit while they play.

How much space do I need?

Assembled, the original table measures 0.86m long by 0.83m wide by 0.50m high. The Surfside Picnic Table option is a similar footprint at 0.86m by 0.86m, but stands much taller at 1.57m with the parasol raised.

How much assembly is required?

Both options require self-assembly, typically around 1 adult and 1 hour.
