The playhouse sits 119cm above the ground under a wooden roof, with windows on the sides and a viewing deck at the front. A telescope and a steering wheel are fitted up there, which is usually all it takes for the deck to become a ship or a lookout post.

The space under the deck is not left empty. It is closed in as a hideaway with a kitchen area along one side, sink and bench at child height. Younger ones settle here while the older kids climb overhead. It is the quieter half of the Coventry, and the reason the set suits a wider age range than a plain swing frame.

There are two routes up to the deck. The step ladder is the straightforward one; the rock climbing wall is the one they will use once they can manage it. The 2.2m wavy slide brings them down.

The extras are fixed to the frame rather than supplied loose, so nothing goes missing in the lawn. Noughts and crosses and a chalkboard sit at the lower level; the telescope and steering wheel belong to the deck above.
