Building a Toddler Play Kitchen Piece by Piece

The Edu Fun toddler play kitchen is sold as individual pieces rather than one fixed set, which means you can build it out gradually or pick only the pieces a room actually needs.

Two Tiers Available

There are genuinely two separate ranges under this name. The standard Toddler Play Kitchen line is the more budget-friendly option. The Kinder Play Kitchen line is a premium version, made from double-sided melamine-laminated panels with varnished MDF edges, priced roughly $50 to $80 higher per matching item. Both tiers suit the same age range, the difference is finish and construction, not which ages can use them.

Piece Standard Premium
Sink & Washing Machine $199.95 $274.95
Cooker Oven $179.95 $219.95
Fridge $229.95 $309.95
Microwave $99.95 Not offered in this tier
Storage $179.95 Not offered in this tier

Where to Start

If you're building the kitchen up gradually, the sink and washing machine, cooker oven, and fridge cover the core play patterns, washing up, cooking, and food storage, that kids actually cycle through in imaginative play. That three-piece combination is the practical starting point, whichever tier you choose.

Mixing tiers: the two finishes look similar but aren't identical, so a room generally looks best matched within one tier. If you want a microwave or storage piece alongside Premium tier core pieces, the standard tier is currently the only option for those two, since Premium doesn't offer them.

Adding On Later

  • The microwave and storage piece exist only in the standard tier, factor that in if you're starting with Premium and plan to add them later.
  • Ordering pieces individually over a term or two spreads the cost without leaving the kitchen unusable in the meantime.
  • For a full room fit-out including the kitchen, our bulk enquiry team can quote the whole set together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I mix standard and premium pieces in the same kitchen?

You can, but the finishes aren't quite identical, so most rooms look better matched within one tier. Mixing is really only worth it if you specifically need the microwave or storage piece, which only exist in the standard tier.

What age is the play kitchen suitable for?

Both tiers suit the same toddler to kinder age range, the difference between them is construction and finish, not which ages can use it.

Do the pieces require assembly?

Yes, each piece requires some assembly. Assembly options may be available if you'd prefer it set up for you, get in touch for a quote.

Can I add more pieces later, or do I need to order the full set upfront?

You can order pieces individually over time, there's no need to buy the full set in one go. Just be mindful the microwave and storage piece only exist in the standard tier.
